Confidence

At the beginning of the course, she thought that she was at a different level of understanding from the students on the lawn; she felt inferior to them.
Now, that she has become more confident about her knowledge of literature, she is able to discuss about it with the students. Furthermore, one of those students seems to be an idiot since he gave a wrong appreciation of a play, according to her. Now, that she can interprete literature better, she realizes when others do well or not.

Hello Li,

I also believe she has started to build up her confidence as regards Literature. What I´m not so sure about is her not considering as valid other people´s opinions. What do you think?

Hi Lu,

Yes,you are right. She should respect others'point of view. Perhaps, she is not aware of that yet. Don't forget that there is a long way from being well educated and she has only taken a literature course. She'd better take a course in Ethics, I'm afraid and read Etica para Amador. Ja,ja,ja...It's a joke but it's available because she was quite rude.
Kisses,
Lili

Hi Li,
jajaja right you´re! maybe she needs us to lend her Savater´s book.
I think she blindly trusted in other people´s opinions (the ones she considered educated) about Literature and forgot to reflect upon them herself, to process the information she read.
huggies,
Lu

I agree with you two, ladies: more important than learning about Literature, Rita needs to learn about respecting other points of view... Well, if our course has at least helped some of you learnt THAT, I guess I should consider myself happy!!!

My question for you now is: who should teach Rita to respect other's opinions, even if these go against hers?

Cheers,
Gladys
